Institute Information

For the  Upliftment & Economic Independence of Women, The Labour Department,  Govt of  Karnataka  under the Employment and Training Department , has started  separate ITI for Women in 1984. Hence this institute came to existence on 20.09.1984. with the establishment of the  following Trades.

  1. Computer Operator & Programming Assistant          2 Units    (1+1)
  2. Electronic Mechanic                                                           4 units    (2 + 2)
  3. Secretarial Practice                                                            1 Unit      (1+0)     

Under PPP Scheme  we are running following Trades as under,

  1. Electrician                          2 Units  (1+1)      & 1 Unit   Under DST
  2. Fitter                                  4 Units   (2+2)        & 1 Unit under DST & 1 Unit in  3rd Shift
  3. Mechanical Diesel              2 Units (1+1)
  4. Motor Mechanic Vehicle    2 Units (1+1)                                

 In Karnataka , our institute is 1st institute to implement the (DST)  “Dual System of Training”. We have started this in Fitter as well as Electrician.

 In this system of training,basic theory & practical classes are conducted in the I.T.I. whereas the relevant industrial training pertaining to practical  of the curriculum is provided by industries. 

Apart from these for advance training purpose  we are also started  Printed Circuit  Board  training(PCB) Unit under PPP.

The institute is situated at Industrial Area popularly known as Udyamabag. The institute is established in the year 1984. Since ITI has been producing highly skilled workers who are serving in local industries and in abroad also. The institute is upgraded in the year Feb-2008 under PPP scheme and this institute is administrated by DET Bangalore under the aegis of DGET New Delhi, Govt. of India.

The institute is imparting training in 7 trades under CTS (Craftsman Training Scheme). Other than these courses this institute also offers short term courses and training classes.

It conducts campus interviews for placement for passed out trainees.
